lessons!
More coming soon! Briefly ... Satori Stables is located thirteen miles north of Austin, at mile 258 on I-35, about a mile and a half to the east, right where the hill country meets the prairie. We are just outside the historic Georgetown City limits, close at hand to some hotels, eateries, and antique and craft shops. At Satori Stables we have an open, lighted full size dressage arena with manufactured sand footing, outlined with railroad ties. Most riding is done in the mornings and evenings when the heat and reflection are less intense. Instruction is given in dressage and jumping, using Centered Riding®, Holographic Repatterning®, and Reiki to facilitate the learning. When riding in the ring is not possible due to weather, then lessons continue in the barn where bodywork and awareness exercises can be done in the aisle with the mini-tramp, medicine ball, and good ol' fashioned chairs. The girls' quarters include a 10 stall barn with 10 acres of pasture - half in black gumbo, the other half in 'hill country.' The girls spend most of their time in the fields, coming in for meals and lessons, and live as a herd community. No boarding is being done at this time. To board here, you must attend lessons regularly and/or have the horse in training and the horse must fit in with the herd; the horses are not routinely stalled except for feeding and inclement weather.
