Mirror 7: Masculine and Feminine Polarity

Opposites Create Life

Through the positive and negative charge present in nature, a magnetic force flows between two opposite poles. In electricity, it is the tension created between the positive and negative charge that results in an electric current. In the universe, two planets are kept in orbit by the opposition of gravity, which pulls the planets together, and the centripetal force of their motion, which keeps them apart. Thus, planets are held in their orbits by the tension of their opposing forces. In our energy fields, the positive or masculine charge flows out from its energy center into action or manifestation. The negative or feminine charge is the attracting force by which energy flows back into its center to be recharged. Life, or homeostasis, is maintained through the balanced flow of these two charges.

The principal of polarity has a direct effect on our health, our internal balance and the balance of our relationships. When there is a balanced outward and inward flow of our energy, we experience health, mental-emotional well0-being and harmony in our relationships. When either charge is obstructed in its flow -- outward or inward -- we experience disharmony.

For example, if the feminine charge is unable to return to its chakra energy center to be recharged, the body may exhibit some symptoms in the feminine aspects: the left side, the pelvis, the feet, the legs. If there is an imbalance in the masculine energy, where the energy cannot move into action or manifestation, symptoms may appear on the right side, the back, the chest, and the head.

Since all systems are driven to find balance, the body will compensate in whatever way it can to maintain itself.

In relationship, similar patterns can be observed. A woman projecting masculine energy will attract a partner who projects feminine energy. This can result a happy union for the two, yet may experience difficulty if either one wishes to reverse polarity.

When partners are displaying the same polarity, it can result in the loss of attraction, frustration, or neutrality. When both partners are projecting strong masculine energy, there can be competition, conflict, and perhaps separation. When both are projecting strong feminine energy, there can be lack of direction and motion -- a stagnation.

Since we carry within us both masculine and feminine energies, we can bring our own system into balance -- creating strong polarity of our energies, so that we have more flexibility in accessing our masculine and feminine. When we can polarize ourselves with others, it allows the release of tension and the creation of energy, movement, healing, and joy.
