1st Session: Receiving Inspiration - Am I getting a message?
Are you getting a message?
Meditation
Find a quiet place where you can sit undisturbed.
Breath deeply and let yourself become quiet inside, your eyes closed.
Within your minds eye, begin climbing a gossamer ladder up into the heavens,
beyond our atmosphere, through the stars, until you come to the edge of reality.
In this place, ask for a symbol which represents the project you are desiring
to pursue.
When this symbol comes to you, observe it as it begins to take shape.
Continue observing the symbol as it grows in light and detail and vibrancy.
When the symbol looks, feels, or sounds complete, thank the universe and
begin to bring this symbol down to earth.
Descend the gossamer ladder, returning to earth.
As you descend, notice how the symbol begins to turn to mist, with every
droplet containing an exact replica of the original symbol, until you are
enveloped in this mist of your symbol.
As you reach earth, allow every cell in your body to take in one of the miniaturized
symbols.
As your body receives these symbols, observe what happens within your
your minds eye, within your body, within your awareness.
When the merging is complete, come back to current reality.

Around these words,

Connect the words, symbols, and pictures in whatever way you want.
Energetic Housekeeping
Your environment can aid you with receiving inspiration. Would you like to know how? Take a stroll through your home. As you enter each room in your home, look to your left and notice what is going on in that corner of the room. (If you entered the room in the 'left' corner, simply notice what's going on right where you're at.) Is there a theme in each of these corners? If you were to come up with a statement that describes the pattern in each of these corners, what would it be?
In Feng Shui terms, this section of a room, of your house, and of your property is the area of Knowledge and Skills. It is the area which represents your ability to 'get it.'
To enhance this area in your life, you can enhance these areas of your living environment. The simplest and most effective to do this for this area is:
| de-clutter it. |
| remove anything old, broken, dirty, or that elicits any kind of negative attitude and throw it out! |
| remove any kind of fog-inducing element - ie drugs, alcohol, smokes |
Do this for each room in your house, for the near left corner of your house, for the near left corner of your property, and the near left corner of your desk or work area. OR if that is a bit much, pick the worst corner you come across and clean it!
Once you have these areas cleared out and clean, (ie creating the space to allow in the new and fresh insights!) you may consider ramping up the energy even more. Some ways to do this are to add to this area with blue, black or green objects (or paint), books (containing knowledge!), symbols of mentors or wise people, meditation items, alters of thanksgiving, metal or water, and symbols of the skills and knowledge you would have or would like to enhance or acquire.
So if you have books, consider moving them to this corner of the room. If you have an unused room in this portion of the house, consider turning it into the mediation room or study. What ever you chose do, observe what the effects are. This is a very high level indication of what can help and does not cover all the situations, such as when something might be contra-indicated. If something isn't working - change it!
