'Go'

Nomenclature:

Ordinary vs. Working Gaits
Running/Rushing vs. Pulling/Dragging/Dogging along

What rider does:

Yellow Arrow from Center shoots forward
Water Wheel
Crank
Jets
Traffic Light - red/green/orange

What rider uses for feedback to know they're doing the effective thing:

The riders center, while staying situated within the pelvis, carries the rider's body forward in space.

What horse does:

move it's center along the line of the Yellow Arrow

Aim - The Direction you 'Go' in

Nomenclature:

Forward vs. Sideways
Sideways vs. Lateral

What rider does:

Yellow Arrow from Center shoots forward above Yellow Arrow on Ground, either matching or not matching horse's Orange Arrow
pull-toy
walls
shuffle board stick

What rider uses for feedback to know they're doing the effective thing:

The riders center, while staying situated within the pelvis, carries the rider's body forward or sideward in space above the yellow arrow on the ground, creating a yellow arrow in space.  The rider's nose is aimed between the horse's ears, regardless of whether the movement is forward or sideward.

What horse does:

The horse moves out with stronger, more determined strides, going either forward or sideward.

Flight Plan

think ahead about 10 feet
do only one 'movement' at a time
pick one 'speed'
pick one shape
pick one direction
when you want to change what you're doing, getting read for the change by doing the Satori Sequence is a 'movement'

Exercises:

forward movement: ( no bend)
sideward movement: ( no bend)
switching between the two ( no bend)

Arena Letters and Lines

Letters: X, A, K, E, H, C, M, B, F
Lines: long wall, short wall, center line, quarter line

Shapes

lines
corners
circles: 20m, 10m, 5m
figure 8's
diagonals
tear drops
dog bones/bows
