I have enjoyed all the books by Steven Forrest. To me they present astrology in vignettes that make it very accessible - relying on the picture to tell the thousand words. If you are new to astrology or simply looking for a concise way to hold the vast amount of information, Steven Forrest's books are books to have.

I have enjoyed the lightness of Jan's books, as well as the direct practicality.  I have been adhering to the New Moon Astrology concepts, and, by Jove, I think it's working!  I also found her books Astrology for the Soul & Spiritual Astrology helpful and insightful.  She's a fun and educational read.

Something about Tracy's writing takes me back to when I was a kid reading 'The Red Book of Fairy Tales'  and the green book, and the other ones, too.  Somehow she speaks to the poet in me.  To the shadow in me she is soothing and accepting and allows me to accept that as well.
